Tom Baumlin rolls out of bed (very early) every morning with one verb on his mind: “impact.” And as CEO of a 225+ person company, he gets to do just that.
Tom’s vision for MoneySolver is simple: to provide easy-to-understand financial solutions for the common person. And even a former CFO knows not everyone is born an accountant. He applies over 30 years of experience in e-commerce and consumer-product spaces to streamline business services.
His entrepreneurial journey began in a Stanford dorm room and the creation of collegiate boxer shorts company College Concepts, which is still thriving today. The liberal arts major turned his love for cooking into a side gig, too. He started up an outdoor grilling business and rocked food concessions at Grateful Dead concerts while studying East Asian cultures. Impressive.
Tom received his MBA from Columbia, where he helped to write the Business School’s honor code (all while working at College Concepts full-time).
His leadership position in the community allows him to impact Jacksonville’s local economy by growing the business, providing hundreds of jobs, and empowering people. The best part? He doesn’t take things too seriously and knows laughter is the best way to endure long days at the office.
