Mother’s Day Scholarship Winners

Mom, I forgive you, so please let the burden of the past go. I know it hurts, thinking of all the time together that was missed. I forgive you for the broken promises, missed birthdays, holidays, and your absence throughout my childhood. I forgive you, so please forgive yourself. Without the pain I felt as a child I would not have become the mother I am today to my children. Please don’t be offended when I say you taught me what a mother should not be. Because of you, I will always be there to tell my sons and daughter good night. Because of you, I know the importance of being at ever sporting event, every dance recital, every school function. Because of you, I make it a priority to make special time for each child. Because of you, I know how to put them first in every situation.
