Only applications and essays submitted online will be eligible to win.
It’s neither. We do not consider grades, honors, awards or income when determining a winner.
It varies based on the number of applicants. New scholarship programs, such as ours, have fewer applicants than established programs or those that don’t require an essay. Fewer applicants = better chance to win!
A panel of qualified scholarship judges will read the essays (essays do not include any identifiable information, just an ID#) and grade them based on the following four categories: writing ability, creativity, originality and overall excellence. The essay with the highest overall score will win.
We will notify the winner by phone and email. Once the winner has verified eligibility and accepted the award, we will place his/her name and essay on our winner’s page.

No. This is a one-time award.
Winners may not apply to the same scholarship that they won. They may, however, apply to our other scholarship programs. No student may win more than two (2) scholarships.
