If you’re like most college students, you’re hustling to find ways to cover those expensive tuition bills. That doesn’t just mean internships and summer jobs, but also lots and lots of scholarship applications. The grind can be brutal and boring, so we’re here to help you out. These fun and easy summer scholarships should take less than an hour each to complete, giving you more time to hit the beach!
Summer Scholarships – June Deadlines
Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship
Award: $1,000 | Deadline: June 30
Fed up with people being bullied on Facebook and other social media? If so, the Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship was made for you. You can choose between two scholarship essay prompts: (1) “Why is it important to work to delete cyberbullying?” or (2) “How has cyberbullying personally affected you?” U.S. high school and college students are eligible to apply. Submit your application online or by mail before the June 30 deadline date.
Do-Over Scholarship
Award: $1,500 | Deadline: June 30
We all make mistakes, but yours could actually win you free money for college! All you have to do is submit a short essay (250 words or less) telling Unigo what moment you’d like to “do over” and you could be the lucky winner. Legal U.S. residents, 14 and older, are eligible to apply. Enter online before the June 30 deadline.
Summer Scholarships – July Deadlines
Flavor of the Month Scholarship
Award: $1,500 | Deadline: July 31
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! And, if you win Unigo’s Flavor of the Month Scholarship, you’ll definitely be screaming. All it requires is a short, 250-word essay describing what flavor you would be if you were ice cream. Legal residents of the U.S., 13 years of age or older, are eligible to apply. Submit your online application before this opportunity melts away!
Minecraft Scholarship
Award: $2,000 | Deadline: July 31
Remember when your parents told you that playing video games was a waste of time? This might just prove them wrong. If you’re a fan of Minecraft, you could actually score a $2,000 scholarship for college. U.S. high school and college students, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, are eligible to apply. Just submit a short essay (500 words or more) telling the sponsor why you feel Minecraft can be a “positive influence on education and career development.” Online applications are due by July 31.
Hearts For Community Service Scholarship
Award: $5,000 | Deadline: July 31
This award is available to students with a 2.75 GPA or higher who live in eligible states. You must be a volunteer in your community and currently attending (or attending soon) a post-secondary institution. Two letters of recommendation and a 500-word essay are required, Applications are due by July 31.
